Please print the instructions for easy follow-along and for future reference.

Windows ME using Network Dial-Up
First, click on the 'Start' button in the lower left-hand corner of your screen. From there go to 'Settings' and then click on 'Control Panel'. Now double-click on the 'Dial-up Networking' icon and then double-click on 'Make New Connection'.

In the screen that opens, type in Leapfrog as shown below and click 'Next'.

In the next screen, put in your access phone number- this is the number that your computer will dial to access our network. If you have any questions as to which number to use, please give us a call and we will help. Now click 'Next'.

You have now set up your new connection, so click on 'Finish' as shown below.

Now it's time to verify some settings in the connection you just created, so right-click on the new 'Leapfrog' icon as shown below and left-click on 'Properties'.

On the 'General' tab, please verify that the number the computer will be dialing is a local call.

**Please note it is the customer's responsibility to find the correct access number that is a local call.**

Now click on the 'Networking' tab and make sure only the following options are checked:

Now click on the 'TCP/IP Settings...' button and make sure that your settings look like this:

Click on 'OK' and choose the 'Security' tab. Type in your login name with an lfi (short for leapfrog internet) at the beginning (for example: if your login name is john, enter lfijohn). At the end of your user name, enter the appropriate network extension from one of the tables below. Your network code was either sent to you in a welcome email if you signed up over the phone or was on the confirmation page if you signed up online:

Network ID- 56/64K Extension to add to username
ST or MG @vdialup.net
QW @entnix.com
VW @leapmail.net (you do not need to put the 'lfi' in front of your username with this network extension)
UU @vhst.net
01 @ca.ppp
Network ID- 128K ISDN
ST @vdialup.net

An example user name might look like this: lfijohn@vdialup.net or jane@leapmail.net

**Note this username masking is necessary for network authentication purposes. If you are unsure which ending to use, please contact us at support@leapmail.net**

After your complete login name has been entered, type in your password.

Now click on the 'Dialing' tab and make sure your screen looks like this:

Click on 'OK', and we're almost done! All we need to do now is create a shortcut on your desktop for a fast and easy connection to the Internet. Right-click on the 'Leapfrog' icon we've created and click on 'Create Shortcut'.

Click on 'Yes' to create a shortcut on your desktop.

To connect to the Internet, double-click on the 'Leapfrog' icon on your desktop. Click 'Connect' on the screen that pops up and your computer will dial up and connect to the Internet.
