MANUAL CONFIGURATION
If
you are looking to manually configure your Windows-based computer to dial
into Leapfrog Internet, please choose your operating system from the pull-down
menu and follow the instructions:
SETUP
WIZARD CONFIGURATION
If
you would like to download one of our Setup Wizards to automatically configure
your Windows-based computer to dial into Leapfrog Internet, please choose
a Setup Wizard from the appropriate pull-down menu and download to your
computer. Please note that you will need to download the Setup Wizard
that corresponds to the network code you were given when you signed up
for service. Your network code was either sent to you in a welcome email
if you signed up over the phone or was on the confirmation page if you
signed up online. If you are unsure which Wizard to download, please call
us at 877.266.4831 or send an email to support@leapmail.net.
Once saved
to your computer, simply double click on the file to begin the wizard.
You will be prompted for your username and password that you provided
to Leapfrog Internet, and the wizard will configure your dial settings
and default email program for Leapfrog. The wizard will place a frog icon
on your desktop. PLEASE RESTART your computer to save the settings.
To connect
to the Internet, simply double-click on the frog icon, make sure your
username and password are in the proper fields, and choose an access number
by hitting the 'Select' button. If you need to use 10-digit dialing, disable
call-waiting, or access an outside line, click the 'Properties' button
and check the appropriate boxes. Now click 'Connect' and the computer
will dial up and connect to Leapfrog. Since we do not bundle any software,
you will need to open your browser and/or email program and you're free
to hop around the Internet!
IMPORTANT!!
PLEASE REMOVE YOUR PRIOR ISP'S SOFTWARE FROM YOUR COMPUTER AS SOFTWARE
CONFLICTS (ESPECIALLY FROM THE 'BIG' ISPs) ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR NEARLY
ALL INITIAL DIALUP ERRORS!! To remove your old software, simply click
on your 'Start' button, then click on 'Settings' and 'Control Panel',
then 'Add/Remove Programs'. Select your prior ISP's software from the
list and click 'Add/Remove'.
