This tutorial
will quickly help you get connected to Leapfrog Internet using Windows
2000. If you have any difficulties please call 877-266-4831 or email us

What you
need to get started:
1. An account
with Leapfrog Internet
2. Your username
3. Your password
4. Your Local Access number

Windows
2000 using Network Dial-up
Click the 'Start' button, click 'Settings', and choose 'Control Panel'.
Double-click
the 'Network and Dial-up Connections' icon.
Double-click the 'Make New Connection' icon.
Click the 'Next' button.
Select 'Dial-up to the Internet' and hit 'Next'.
Select 'I want to set up my Internet connection manually...' and hit 'Next'.

Select 'I connect through a phone line and a modem' and hit 'Next'.

Type
in the area code and telephone number that your computer will be dialing,
and click the 'Advanced' button. This opens up a new window.
**Please
note it is the customer's responsibility to find the correct access number
that is a local call.**

Click on the 'Connection' tab.
Check the 'PPP (Point to Point Protocol)' radio button in the Connection
type area.
Check the box next to' Disable LCP' Extensions.
Click the 'None' radio button in the Logon procedure area.
Now click on the 'Addresses' tab.
In the 'IP Address' section, make sure the 'Internet Service Provider
automatically provides one' option is selected.
In the 'DNS Server Address' section, make sure the 'My ISP automatically
provides a Domain Name Server (DNS) address' is selected.
Click the 'OK' button to close the 'Advanced Connection Properties' window.
Click the 'Next' button on the screen shown below.

In the User name field, type
in your login name with an lfi (short for leapfrog internet)
at the beginning (for example: if your login name is john, enter lfijohn).
At the end of your user name, enter the appropriate network extension
from one of the tables below. Your network code was either sent to you
in a welcome email if you signed up over the phone or was on the confirmation
page if you signed up online:

An example user name might look like this: lfijohn@vdialup.net
or jane@leapmail.net
**Note this username masking is necessary for network authentication
purposes. If you are unsure which ending to use, please contact us at
support@leapmail.net**
In the Password field, type your password, then hit 'Next'.

In the Connection Name field, label this connection by typing 'Leapfrog
Internet', then hit 'Next'.

Check
the 'NO' radio button in the 'Do you want to set up an Internet mail account
now' section, then hit 'Next'.
The
Wizard is now just about done. If you would like to connect right away,
check the box next to 'To connect to the Internet immediately...' If not,
leave the box unchecked. Either way, press the 'Finish' button and you
are ready to surf the Internet at your convenience.
Once you
close this Wizard, we need to create a shortcut on your desktop for a
fast and easy connection to the Internet. In your Network and Dialiup
Connections folder, right-click on the 'Leapfrog' icon we've created and
click on 'Create Shortcut'.

Click on
'Yes' to create a shortcut on your desktop.

To connect
to the Internet, double-click on the 'Leapfrog' icon on your desktop.
Click 'Connect' on the screen that pops up and your computer will dial
up and connect to the Internet.

You
are now connected to the Internet, and can run any software you wish to
use, Internet Explorer, Netscape, Eudora, Outlook, etc...
