outlook xp setup instructions
This tutorial will quickly help you get connected to Leapfrog Internet email using Outlook XP (2002). If you have any difficulties please call 877-266-4831 or email us at support@leapmail.net with your questions.

What you need to get started:

1. An account with Leapfrog Internet
2. Your username
3. Your password
4. Your Local Access number

Outlook using Setup Wizard
To begin the setup wizard, you will need to open Outlook by either double clicking on the icon on your desktop, or by going to the Start menu and selecting Programs and then clicking on Outlook. Click the Tools menu and select E-Mail Accounts.

 


Select 'Add a new e-mail account' and click 'Next'.

 


Select POP3 as your server type and click 'Next'.

 


In the 'User Information' area, enter your real name in the field labeled 'Your Name', and enter your full email address in the 'E-Mail Address' field. In the 'Logon Information' area, make sure that your entire email address is once again entered in the 'User Name' box, and enter your password as well. In the 'Server Information' area, make sure you enter the information as shown below. After you've filled in your settings, it's wise to test them by clicking the Test Account Settings button- but only if you are currently connected to the Internet.

 



You should end up with five checkmarks if all five tests finished properly. Click the Errors tab for more information about the errors Outlook encountered while testing.

 


After you've verified that your account is set up properly, click 'Next.'

 


You'll now be at your E-Mail Accounts list. Click 'Finish' and you are ready to send and receive email.
