outlook setup instructions
This tutorial will quickly help you get connected to Leapfrog Internet email using Outlook. If you have any difficulties please call 877-266-4831 or email us at support@leapmail.net with your questions.

What you need to get started:

1. An account with Leapfrog Internet
2. Your username
3. Your password

Please print the instructions for easy follow-along and for future reference.

Outlook using Setup Wizard
To begin the setup wizard, you will need to open Outlook by either double clicking on the icon on your desktop, or by going to the Start menu and selecting Programs and then clicking on Outlook. Once you have done this, you will need to click on the 'Tools' menu and select 'Accounts'.

 


Next, make sure that the 'Mail' tab is up front and click on 'Add' and then 'Mail'.

 


Now enter the name you want to appear on all emails you send out, then press 'Next'.

 


Enter your email address in the format below.

 


Enter the mail server information as shown below.

 


Enter your entire email address, then enter your password in all lower case. Make sure the 'Remember password' box is checked, and hit 'Next'.

 


On the next box, make sure the top choice is selected and hit 'Next'.

 


The next screen you see will depend on the version of Outlook that you have. However, whichever version you have will prompt you through the process in selecting which dialup connection to use. The final screen will be a finish screen similar to the one shown below; you are almost ready to send and receive email.

 

Once the wizard screen has closed, go to the 'Tools' menu, then down to 'Accounts'.

 

Now click on the 'Mail' tab and highlight your Leapfrog email account. Hit the 'Properties' button on the right.



Click on the 'Servers' tab. Make sure to put a check in the box that says 'My server requires authentication'.
Hit the 'Apply' button, then the 'OK' button, then close out of the 'Internet Accounts' window.



Next, go back to the 'Tools' menu and choose 'Options'.



Click on the 'Mail Delivery' tab and make sure the box to 'Check for new messages every xx minutes' is set to 10 minutes. Hit the 'Apply button in the bottom right corner of this window, click 'OK', and you are now ready to send and receive with your new Leapfrog email account.
