Configuring
Email Settings
If
you have already installed Netscape 7.0 on your computer, you are ready
to configure Netscape to send and receive your Leapfrog Internet email.
If this is the first time using Netscape 7.0, please go through the .
To begin, open Netscape 7.0, then go to the "Edit" menu and
select "Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings..."
You will then see Netscape's mail and newsgroup configuration interface.
By default, you will first be shown your Account Settings. The "Account
Name" and "Your Name" may be specified however you please.
Enter your name as you want it to appear in messages sent to others. The
"Email Address" must be an address that has been set up for
you at Leapfrog Internet.
By clicking the button labeled "Advanced" you may choose which
outgoing mail server you would like to use with this account. Mail servers
may be added to this list under the Outgoing Server (SMTP) interface (detailed
later below)
The Server Settings category on the left allows you to specify the Server
name, username, port, and various other settings associated with retrieving
email. The Server Type should be specified as "POP Mail Server,"
the Server Name should be "mail.leapmail.net" and your User
Name should be in lowercase, and appear as your FULL email address. Leapfrog
Internet uses Port 110.
The Outgoing Server (SMTP) category should show that you are using "mail.leapmail.net"
as your outgoing mail server. It should not be necessary to specify the
port to be used, although Leapfrog Internet uses port 25.

If, for any reason, it becomes necessary to modify, add, or remove an
outgoing mail server from your Netscape 7.0 configuration, click "Advanced"
in the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) category. Here you will be able to
manipulate your outgoing mail server settings in detail.
Leapfrog Internet's outgoing mail server name is mail.leapmail.net, on
port 25. To ensure that there is no confusion between your Netscape 7.0
and our mail server, do not use SSL for this purpose.
