DNS
Settings can be confusing, but here is a simple explanation of how
they work. When you type in a URL (ie., www.google.com), that address
is translated behind the scenes via the Domain Name Servers (DNS) into
a number known as an IP address. This IP address is associated with a
specific computer(s) that hold the web site you're trying to view (Google
in this example). Your computer is then routed to this IP address to access
the web pages stored there. When you are adding a new site or moving your
current site, you need to update the Domain Name Servers (DNS) so that
the same URL now points to a different IP address that is associated with
Leapfrog Internet servers. Back to top If you have any questions regarding these instructions, please email us at bizsupport@leapmail.net. |
